Gag Order

Yesterday I went to the movie theater and watched Ben Stein’s documentary called Expelled, Intelligence not permitted.
It was shocking. Did you know, in the academia world scientist can and have lost their jobs for merely suggesting the notion that the origin of life might have come about by some Intelligent design?
A place that boasts itself to be open-minded? A place where students are encouraged to ask why, test the limits of everything, and often accept no absolutes? Yes, This place.
Regardless of your religious beliefs, this is a crime. Free speech is what’s really at stake here.
This is America. One should be free to agree, disagree, agree to disagree, and by all means formulate an independent thought that is all your own and throw it out there.
I could go on and on, but as you know, one of my primary goals for this blog is to keep it brief.
So, I am only raising awareness here and recommending the documentary to you for further review.
As always, I would love to hear your thoughts.

Isn’t that amazing, Terri? The top minds in physics and quantum physics agree that we understand a few things about creation:
1. There was a precise moment of creation–whether you call it the “Big Bang” or some other term.
2. At that moment, time (every moment from then to now to the end of time and simultaneously “present”) was created along with an infinite universe (rapidly expanding but instantaneously infinite).
3. Nothing that we understand as to the “laws” of science (math, quantum mechanics, etc.) existed or can be applied prior to creation (and don’t currently exist or apply beyond the “event horizon” of “places” we now know exist, i.e., black holes).
Yet some academics presume that by their merely stating an assumption, they can dismiss the possibility that creation also had a creator that man’s intelligence is incapable of comprehending–much less defining.
Great blog posting of a great observation! Keep it up–this is good stuff!

Hi Terri,
It was not that long ago that scientists who introduced the idea of global warming also lost their jobs and were black-balled. Sad, but true.
