I’ve heard it said, there’s opportunity in every market, when it’s up and when it’s down.

Well, I don’t have to tell you it’s down.

But where’s the opportunity in this market? I don’t know.

Nevertheless, allow me to raise your awareness that it’s said there is some, somewhere out there.

If we keep our minds open and clear per chance it will reveal itself to us.

I don’t know about you, but a good opportunity in a bad market would be just what I need to lift my spirits.

Throughout life there are moments when things just take a turn, sometimes for better and sometimes for worse.

You think you got it all figured out. You know exactly where you’re going, and then suddenly, things change.

Why? We don’t always know why, but it is a characteristic of life.

All I know to do is: evaluate the change for what it is, adjust your plans as needed, and play the hand you’re dealt.

Whether it’s career change, financial change, or personal change, it’s how you choose to look at it that will decide that it can be for the better.

This morning, I saw what a beautiful day it was shaping up to be and decided to pack up the computer, shut the office down, and take myself on a motorcycle ride.

Wow. What a stress relief it was to just do something easy and fun. I rode to Burnsville and just laid down on the square and looked at the sky and felt the sunshine warm my face.

Sometimes you just gotta break free from the expected, from the routine. That’s when the creative juices start to flow again and faith can be renewed.

Maybe you don’t ride a motorcycle but I bet you do something that gives you a release. Go ahead and make the time to do that this week.

Don’t let stress get the upper hand.

Live, for God’s sake, live!!

This is a time when we are all faced with a variety of challenges. Lost jobs, foreclosure, today’s cash flow, tomorrow’s retirement, recession, etc.

Today, I just want to send a word of encouragement to strengthen my friends who may be, like me, facing difficult days ahead and some tough decisions.

Say to yourself, “ I believe in victory.” “ I believe in victory over____________.”(Whatever your personal challenge might be.)

Use these positive words of affirmation anytime you feel the pressures of the obstacles you face.

You might be surprised how spiritually empowering they can be.
